“Loki” season two has dropped on Disney+ after its successful first season. Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans have been waiting for the drop of the first episode of season two since the trailer was released to the public in early 2023. This season, as seen in the trailer, is suspected to be more intense than season one. Many significant parts of the trailer lead viewers to wonder what will happen to Loki and his friends and what kind of impact they will have on the Time Variants Authority (TVA).
Season two began streaming in October and ended in November. The show follows Loki after he grabs the Tesseract, a cube that contains the Space Infinity Stone, and attempts to teleport away.
Season two has left fans excited for a new journey that Loki has. Many MCU fans who have watched Avengers know that after Loki teleports to Earth, the last thing he says is that he is “Burdened with glorious purpose,” but no one has ever figured out what Loki’s glorious purpose was, and fans were hoping that Loki would find his glorious purpose at the end of season two.
Season two is the continuation of where season one left off. Season one had the audience following Loki through his journey with the TVA and it will continue to do so in season two. The intensity will continue to grow after a few episodes. Something big will happen at the end of season two and all the tension will lead to it. With season two announced earlier this past year, fans were looking forward to the adventures of Loki and the TVA.
“I was excited when Loki season two was announced. Season one was amazing and I was ready for what was happening in season two,” sophomore Stone Gallant said.
Season two also brings new characters in for this adventure, like Victor Timely Ouroboros, and some brand new antagonists that could make the problem more challenging for Loki, Sylvie, Mobius and many others.
“Victor Timely was a very cool character on account that he is a variant of He Who Remains,” Gallant said. “I didn’t expect him to be a variant of He Who Remains. That completely threw me off guard.”
The show kept fans excited when a new episode dropped on Disney+. Season one and season two have brought more than ever to the MCU giving fans what they wanted for the untold story of Loki after the events of Endgame after he got away with the Tesseract.
“Season two of Loki was pretty good and I cannot wait to see where the MCU goes from here,” Gallant said.
