Three celebrity feuds that rocked Hollywood

There is no doubt that stardom can go to one’s head, and sometimes, that results in catfights. Whether the drama is petty and sibling-like or more personal, the gossip can be unforgettable.

Taylor Swift vs Katy Perry
Although the two began as friends in 2009, in 2014 a feud began between the two Pop Stars. Dancers from Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble” tour decided to leave for Katy Perry’s “Prism” tour, leaving Swift with an inadequate amount of dancers. Swift did an interview with Rolling Stone magazine saying that her new song “Bad Blood” was about a Pop Star that was her “Straight up enemy.” From cryptic tweets to miscommunications, the feud ended with Katy Perry sending Taylor Swift an olive branch in the mail and Taylor Swift placing Katy Perry in her music video “You Need to Calm Down” in June of 2019.

Bella Thorne vs Whoopi Goldberg
When Bella Thorne’s account was hacked, she took it in her own hands to release her own inappropriate photos after claiming she had been blackmailed, according to vox.com.

“Once you take that picture, it goes into the cloud and it’s available to any hacker who wants it, and if you don’t know that in 2019 that this is an issue, I’m sorry, you don’t get to do that,” said Whoopi Goldberg in an episode of The View.

Thorne responded on Twitter and Snapchat saying Goldberg’s response was “sick and honestly disgusting,” according to vox.com. The feud was short-lived, but there is no information about if the two ever made up.

Jay-Z vs Kanye West
Even though in recent years Jay-Z and Kanye West have been friendly, that has not always been the case. The drama begins with West being signed to Jay-Z’s record label Roc-A-Fella records.

“I wasn’t saying don’t sign Kanye, I was saying, at least keep the beats in-house, if anything,” said Jay-Z according to people.com.

The relationship between West and Jay-Z tends to be sibling-like. West asked Jay-Z for two tickets to his Madison Square Garden concert, but Jay-Z told him he should buy them instead. West didn’t invite the Ivy family to their wedding, but he is upset that his daughter and Blue Ivy have yet to have a playdate.

West eventually decided to cut ties with Tidal and Roc-A-Fella records.

“You know it’s a problem because [we] would have been talked about it, been resolved our issues. And he knows [he] crossed the line. He knows. And I know he knows. ‘Cause we’ve never let this much space go between one of our disagreements and we’ve had many. That’s part of who we are,” said Jay-Z according to people.com. “It’s just that there are certain things that happened that’s not really acceptable to me. And we just need to speak about it. But there’s genuine love there.”
