Blumhouse Productions and Scott Cawthon Productions released their movie “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” following the storyline of the game “Five Nights at Freddy’s” on Dec. 5, 2025, focusing on the second game in the franchise, according to amctheaters.com.
The film brought back main actors like Josh Hutcherson as Mike Schmidt, Matthew Lillard as William Afton, Elizabeth Lail as Vanessa, Piper Rubio as Abby Schmidt, and many more. Along with them, there was also an addition of new voice actors for the animatronics: Megan Fox as Toy Chica, Kellen Goff as Toy Freddy and Matthew Patrick as Toy Bonnie. Some new actors were Skeet Ulrich as Henry Emily and Mckenna Grace as Lisa, according to imdb.com.
The movie takes place one year after the siblings, Mike and Abby Schmidt, first encounter William Afton in the first film. The town began to forget what had happened at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, leading to the creation of Fazfest, a community-run event based on the Fazbear brand. During the festival, Abby decides to sneak off to try to meet the animatronics. This ends up bringing back trauma and dark secrets about Freddy’s and revisits some nightmares from their past, according to imdb.com.
The first movie accumulated over $80 million on opening night and about $300 million as of Jan. 16. “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” made $109 million on opening weekend and $235 million as of Jan. 16 as well, according to forbes.com.
