Dickherber Farms
Dickherber Farms is a local pumpkin patch located in Dardenne Prairie, Mo. This farm is open every day of the week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m, with Sundays being 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. They have an admission of $6, kids under four-years-old enter for free, according to saintlouis.kidsoutandabout.com.
They are most known for their corn maze throughout September and October. Another popular attraction is their petting zoo. The zoo includes animals like donkeys, horses, goats, sheep, chickens, cats, ducks and geese. Daniel’s Farm and Greenhouses
Daniel’s Farm and Greenhouses is located in St. Peters, Mo, and is a bit different from Brookdale Farms. This pumpkin patch is focused more on the planting and harvesting aspect of fall. Their admission price is $9 to $10 with two-year-olds free of charge, according to danielsfarmandgreenhouse.com.
The farm includes over 8,000 hanging baskets of flowers, hundreds of sun and shade plants, along with one hundred-thousand pots of colored annual flowers. Brookdale Farms
Brookdale Farms, located in Eureka, Mo, offers many activities, including a corn maze, hayrides, petting zoo, sugar shack, “Field of Nightmares” and more. Their general admission price is $12 to $14, and children under the age of two are free of charge, according to brookdalefarms.com.
A special event they hold is called “Field of Nightmares.” This event happens from Sept. 20 through every Friday and Saturday in October, along with the week of Halloween. During these days, they host a haunted corn maze for visitors to navigate through, along with many other ghostly attractions, according to brookdalefarms.com.
Eckert’s
Eckert’s is farther away compared to the other pumpkin patches, being located in Belleville, Ill. Eckert’s admission costs $4 Monday through Friday and $8 on Saturday and Sunday. Like the others, children under the age of two are free.
This farm offers year round activities. However, in autumn, they offer fruit picking, an orchard loop trail and a murder mystery dinner for guests to attend. They have a country store and a garden center where you can buy different seeds, baked goods, deli products and more, according to eckerts.com.
