Spooktacular Decorations
Decorations can help to become invested in any holiday, especially Halloween.
Whether it is rummaging through storage to find classic decorations or going out to buy something to add a little scare to one’s collection, decorating one’s room is a great way to participate in the spooky season. Some choose not to decorate since it can become a costly experience, but juniors Alexis Barnes and Leah Barnes choose to accept the challenge. Every year, they successfully decorate their rooms, and they accomplish the task on a budget.
“Decorating for Halloween is a tradition for my family and me,” Leah said. “We go into the attic and choose decorations that we like.”
After the decorations are chosen and set up, Alexis and Leah begin to search for any ways they could improve their decorating. Once they figure out their plan, they set out in search for Halloween decor that is high quality at a fair price.
“It’s only Halloween for a short period of time, so you don’t want to blow all of your money on specific holiday decorations,” Alexis said.
If one wants to join in on the Halloween fun, it can be done on any budget. But remember to begin looking at what decorations are already owned, then add any necessary additions to the collection afterward.
