West High School’s Mask Fashion

A look into how students express themselves through their masks

Lauren Higgins often chooses to wear her London themed mask to school. Higgin’s mom made this mask for her as a start of the school year gift. “This is my favorite mask because it is easiest to talk out of,” junior Lauren Higgins said.

Nick Healy is sporting a black bandana as his mask. He wears a bandana for a mask because it is more breathable for him. “I like my bandana mask because it covers all of my face,” junior Nick Healy said.

Cailey Blackmer can be seen wearing a disposable mask. She wears her disposable mask everywhere because of how practical they are. “Disposable masks can be beneficial because they’re super quick to grab if you need to run into a store or gas station super quickly,” said junior Cailey Blackmer. “As long as you wear them properly, they’re super safe and effective.”

Adam Glenn is rocking his hot pink mask. His mask is made out of cotton because that is what is best for his face. “I choose to wear a cotton mask because it’s still keeping me safe and it doesn’t irritate my skin,” sophomore Adam Glenn said.

Grace Lafeber is wearing her West themed mask. She received this mask as a gift from her dance team, who all match masks. “I wear this mask to school because it is my favorite one and because of how soft it is,” junior Grace Lafeber said. Layla Mabie is modeling her favorite teal mask. Layla often wears this mask because it matches her eyes. “This mask is most comfortable for me, and I get a lot of compliments for it,” junior Layla Mabie said.
