Apple is an electronic company that provides all sorts of devices from computers to iPads, and watches to speakers. But their most popular item is their cell phones, according to apple.com.
Almost every year, Apple comes out with a new phone and this year, it was the iPhone 15. When creating new phones for customers, Apple finds improvements they can make by comparing it to the previous phones that were released, according to apple.com.
The iPhone 15 contains a USB-C port, whereas the iPhone 14 has a lightning port. The USB-C port is said to be much easier to plug into and allows phones to charge much faster than the lightning port would allow, according to pcmag.com.
The new release also has new colors: pastel pink, blue, yellow, green and black. In previous years, the iPhone 14, had colors that were bright and bold. For the new model, Apple decided to dim down the colors with pastel hues, according to apple.com.
The prices on the other hand are more expensive than iPhones made in previous years. When Apple presents a new device to the world, they tend to make the price high and gradually lower it as it gets less popular. The iPhone 14 started at a price of $699 to $899 and went down to $599 whereas the iPhone 15 costs $799 to $1,000 depending on how many gigabytes of storage customers choose to purchase, according to tomsguide.com.
Even with many advancements made to the new phone, the camera model is still around the same as previous models. The iPhone 15 and 14 both contain a front camera with 12MP, meaning the phones have 12 million pixels to take photos and videos, allowing people to take photos that last over five years, according to phonescoop.com.
