Many know and love the television channel HBO. Similar to Netflix or Hulu, HBO has created their own streaming service. They have many different channels, tv shows and movie genres. Since their platform is fairly new, their list of available shows and movies are constantly expanding.

TV series: 9/10
From original series to the tv shows you know and love, HBO has a wide variety of series to check out. They have many classics, like “Friends,” “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” and “Game of Thrones.” They have virtually every genre of television, including cartoons, dramas, sci-fi, documentaries and many more, giving viewers the opportunity to find something perfect for them. They also have a feature called HBO Max Hubs that will take you to the individual networks including HBO, DC, Sesame Workshop, Turner Classic Movies, Studio Ghibli, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Crunchyroll and Looney Tunes. Additionally, they keep up to date with their original shows by adding new episodes weekly.

Movies: 10/10
If you are looking for a movie to watch, this streaming platform has great options for anyone’s preferences. They have a wide variety of DC movies like “Wonder Woman” and “Aquaman”. With the holidays coming up, they have many holiday movies for the whole family. They have practically every genre of films, so if you are looking for a horror movie or even an animated movie, there are many options. They have many film trilogies as well, such as “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Matrix.” Whatever mood you are feeling, they have a movie for you.

Accessibility: 6/10
With an app and a website, you are able to find something to watch fairly easy. However, smart TVs that allow you to add channels do not have HBO Max yet. If you have the app, you can only watch when connected to wifi, even if you have cellular data. Their app and website suggests shows and movies for viewers to watch. They also have a feature where actors display their favorite series and films. Even though the main page may suggest things for you, you can easily get to all movies or tv series A-Z.

This streaming service has already proved it is going to be a good one. They are partnered with many channels, which allows HBO Max to constantly be updating their available shows and movies. Once they are able to add HBO Max as a channel on smart TVs, I’m sure their platform will be even better.
