Get Jazzy With It
A free concert displaying choir and band jazz students
The gentle voice of a jazz singer reverberates throughout the auditorium. It follows the tranquil beat of a drum, ringing off the shoulders of the audience as struggles and stress disappear like hushed whispers. Come visit the Jazz and Madrigal Ensemble, Jazz Band, and Ladies Jazz Ensemble perform at Jazz Night at the West High auditorium, Nov. 14. It is free.
“Jazz Night is such a bop,” senior Elizabeth Webster said. “That’s why people should come.”
Jazz Night consists of great Jazz classics like “Summertime” by Ella Fitzgerald and some well-known songs as well, such as “Run To You,” by Pentatonix.
“All of the performers are extremely talented musicians and have worked their butts off to provide the highest quality concert possible, so everyone should come out, support their friends, and enjoy [some jazz],” Webster said.
