Akshay Dyavanapalli
“[I will be attending] Mizzou in hopes of becoming a nurse, but I don’t know what kind yet,” Dyavanapalli said. “When I was a kid, I wanted to be an NBA player alongside LeBron. This lasted till I was about 10.”
Hannah Entwistle
“[When I was younger,] I wanted to go into paleontology because of the show ‘Dinosaur Train,’” Entwistle said. “I now want to be a registered nurse and travel, but I’m unsure of my exact plans.”
Hector Patino
“[As a child,] I wanted to be a veterinarian because I loved animals,” Patino said. “I still do; however, I’m attending school with the goal of becoming a pharmacist, but if it doesn’t work out, [I plan on becoming] a veterinarian.”
Garrett Ray
“When I was a kid, I wanted to be a doctor,” Ray said. “I had health issues and knew others in similar positions, so it inspired me for years and that dream hasn’t really changed. Now I either want to become a medical researcher or a physician.”
Madilyn Smith
“I liked baking [when I was a kid,] so I wanted to be a baker,” Smith said. “I really liked baking with box mixes, but that really only lasted a year. I now want to go into marketing because I love business and the classes I’ve taken with it. I just think that marketing is an aspect of business that incorporates both the creative and analytical side.”
Kaylin Zengil
“[I wanted to be] a popstar when I was a kid,” Zengil said. “I sang and danced everywhere; I was the definition of a diva. When I was seven, I stopped thinking I was going to be a pop star. I decided to go down the medical route. I’m majoring in biology for my undergraduate at Mizzou then going to medical school to become a radiation oncologist.”
